- How long does setup take?
- About 5 minutes. Plug in the PowerOK Node, connect it to the internet, go to Claim a device and enter the 8-character code from the sticker on your Node. Sign in or create an account, choose your site, and you're done.
- What if I have multiple sites?
- One dashboard can monitor unlimited sites. Each site gets one PowerOK Node. Create a site for each location you want to monitor.
- What does monitoring cost?
- Standard Monitoring is $3/month per owner account. Includes monitoring and email alerts for all your sites.
- How quickly do I get notified when power goes out?
- Within minutes. The Node sends a heartbeat every minute. If we miss a heartbeat, we send an email alert. Typical detection time is 2–5 minutes after power loss.
- What does the PowerOK Node need to work?
- Power and an internet connection. The Node plugs into an outlet and needs internet access to send heartbeats to the cloud.
- What about network equipment during a power outage?
- For accurate detection, your router, modem, and any network equipment need to be on a UPS (uninterruptible power supply). Otherwise, when power goes out, the Node loses internet too—and we can't tell if it's a power outage or a network outage. Either way, you will get an alert.
- What happens if my internet goes down?
- If the Node loses internet, it can't send heartbeats—so we'll treat it as a potential power outage and may send an alert. For sites with unreliable internet, consider a cellular backup or ensure your internet is on a UPS.
- Do you have a cellular version?
- Yes. We have a cellular version for sites without reliable internet. Contact us if you would like to trial or pilot the cellular option.
- How do I add more devices?
- Purchase another PowerOK Node and create a new site (or use a site that doesn't have a Node yet). Each site can have one Node.
- I bought a used PowerOK Node. How do I set it up?
- Contact us with the claim code from the sticker on the Node. We'll reset it for you. Once reset, go to Claim a device, enter the code, and assign it to your site. Plug in the Node and it will connect.
- What's your return policy?
